Dr. Jessi was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada and graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a Bachelor of Science in Health Ecology. At the University of Nevada, Dr. Jessi taught Anatomy and Physiology lab courses, served as Vice President of the Pre-Dental Society, and was a member of the Public Health Club. She also was a University of Nevada cheerleader for two years supporting the football team as well as men’s and women’s basketball teams.
Dr. Jessi received her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California where she served as secretary for the Pediatric Study Club, Vice President of the Pacific Chapter of Hispanic Dental Association, and Student Coordinator of the Advanced Pediatric Clinic Rotation. Dr. Jessi was honored with the Drs. Charles, Charles Jr., and Joe Sweet Award for superior proficiency in the field of dentistry for children as well as the Warren Family Endowment Award for outstanding dental care for children.
In order to pursue her dream of becoming a pediatric dentist, Dr. Jessi completed a post-doctorate residency and received a certificate of Specialty in Pediatric Dentistry at Lutheran Medical Center in Providence, RI. Her program included extensive training in after-hours traumatic emergencies, full-mouth dental rehabilitation for children under general anesthesia and providing comprehensive dental care for children and people with special needs.
Volunteering has always been one of Dr. Jessi’s passions. Throughout high school, college and her dental training, she has continued to devote her time to the community, children and adults with special needs. She has volunteered her dental skills during a mission to the underserved community of Cuzco, Peru and coordinated team of 30 dentists and dental students on a dental mission to Moala, Fiji where over 400 local Fijians were treated.
Dr. Jessi’s greatest joy is spending time with her fiancé, Brian, and her family. They enjoy traveling and they are loving being part of the Rocklin community.
